Notes on refurbishing a nativity scene for Baptist Health.

At first look this nativity looks to be in good shape considering it sits outside through the Christmas season.

We used the air hose at 100 psi to blow off all the chipped, cracked and blistered paint. There. That looks worse.

It exposed the fiberglass and a layer of some kind of chalky plaster coating. Now we are using a Dremel with a soft brush to buff out sharp edges of the chipped up paint.

Julie, being awesome with a dremel. Dental hygienists take note.

Now they look their worst! Soon we'll start the color matching and airbrushing.
